The disc vacuum filter is composed of discs with individual sector plates. Each sector plate is a separate filtration unit, and a filter chamber is formed by putting filter cloth over the sector plates. A motor drives the filter disc via a reducer and an open-gear transmission. When the filter disc rotates clockwise, the slurry in the filter chamber adheres to the filter disc, forming a filter cake in the adsorption zone due to the pressure difference generated across the filter medium by the vacuum pump. After the agitator rotates to prevent solid sedimentation, the filter cake continues to remove water under vacuum as it leaves the liquid surface. The filtrate passes through the filter cloth, then through the filtrate pipe, and is discharged from the distribution head. The filter cake is discharged into the discharge trough by reverse blowing in the discharge area, and the entire operation process is carried out in a continuous cycle.
Working conditions
(1) The solid particle size in the pulp ranges from -100 mesh to -400 mesh.
(2) The pulp temperature is 10℃-50℃, and it is non-corrosive.
(3) It is suitable for pulp concentrations ranging from 35% to 65% (for metallic minerals) or 20% to 40% (for coal or other light materials).
The disc vacuum filter is solid-liquid separation equipment that uses vacuum pump(s) as the primary filtration device to separate desired minerals/orbs from the surrounding liquid.
How can one check and prepare the disc vacuum filter before operation?
1. Before starting the machine, please open the mobile filters in the large and small filters, and then close the other two valves.
2. Turn on the power and grounding protection
3. Open the water pipe valve and continuously supply an appropriate amount of supplementary water to the vacuum pump to ensure that there is a water ring in the pump, which can guarantee the formation of a vacuum and achieve the purpose of cooling. To ensure the pump's performance and reliability, it is recommended that the operating time not be exceeded each time. If it needs to be reused, the circulating water must be replaced to ensure that the water temperature does not exceed 30℃.
4. After opening the packaging of the CD vacuum filter, remove the packaging grease and check whether the fasteners, instruments, switches, and wiring terminals are loose or have fallen off.
5. Try to turn on the power. If there is a screeching sound, adjust and add water until the sound stops. Then close the open filter valve and observe the vacuum gauge pointer. Only then can the machine be used normally. When using a fixed filter plate to filter materials, first lock the filter plate, then wet the filter cloth and filter paper on the filter plate with a small amount of clean water, then pour the pulp into the filter plate, and finally open the filter valve. Filter. It can operate normally intermittently or continuously. If a mobile suction filter is used for suction filtration, the filter cloth and filter paper should be attached to the surface of the outer suction cup, then placed on top of the pulp, the valve should be opened, and then the clear water should be drawn out—the hyperbolic cosine value.
6. To prevent backwater from entering the vacuum system when the pump stops, please close the valve first and then stop the pump.
7. After the work is completed, if the pump is not to be used for 1 to 2 days, please be sure to open the bolts at the bottom of the cover, drain the water in the pump, and stop. Be sure to tighten the bolts when in use.
8. After the disc vacuum filter has been shut down for a long time, before restarting, remove the motor protection cover, rotate the motor fan blades by hand, and start it again after it spins freely.
9. When using this device while it is mobile, please be sure to place the power supply and grounding wire to ensure the reliability of personnel and the equipment.
